After a year and a bit of procrastination Ive decided to blog my on going Hobby projects, Ive mostly been tweeting my on going progress and I have been answering questions on how Ive achieved a certain look or colour scheme.
So for my next army I’m going to do a blow by blow account of how I’ve painted something with lists of colours used and or techniques for basing.
Mostly for myself but also as a guide for other people to use, Ive benefited so much from online guides and step by step instructions in the past, hopefully this can be a help for people in the future.
Im hoping to get people to contribute, from different gaming systems, So one friend of mine is going to hopefully include some drop zone commander, Some 40k and other systems. For myself though I will be including warhammer fantasy battle and the odd commission work I get.
So on to a bit of hobby...
First up is a WIP of my tzeentch herald, this guy is a new addition to my burgeoning daemons of chaos army.
I painted the figure to this level using my air brush, Ive slowly become quite dependent on my airbrush and to be honest I cant imagine painting an army with out it.
I used a zenith highlight technique for painting this model, Actually all of my models these days.
Its not that in depth a procedure and I will probably do a blog post about it at a later date.
All the the colour blends on the model have been achieved using the air brush and didn’t actually take that much time to achieve.
here he is anyway and once the figure is finished I’ll do a complete step by step with the following two horror standard bearers I'm doing.
This is also another work in progress shot of my second skull cannon, yes I know this is a filthy army option but Its always nice to have options.
You can see the air brush blends on the red and armour plates on the cannon, I've managed with practice, to get quite accurate with the air brush. so painting the cannon to this stage didn't take that long.
Here are some WIP shots of the cannons and also a picture of my finished first skull cannon.
So this is the end of my first blog post, Hopefully Ill be updating again in the near future.
Cheers
